This is Project Burb. This whole ordeal started with some late night scrolling on Craigslist, which we're sure a lot of people can relate to. To find your own Craigslist treasure, click here.
The truck was located in Wichita Falls. We went down, looked it over, made an offer, and the deal was done. We brought it home the next weekend, and started figuring out what it needed to run. There's a lot of wiring messed up under the hood, and it needed a new carburetor. Stay tuned on our social media to see when we get it running.

Here it was loaded up and ready to come to OKC.
Another one of the first things we noticed about this truck was the list of really good options that came on this truck originally. Things like a tilt column, RPM gauge, and rear A/C made our ears perk up a little bit. Unfortunately, the interior was completely stripped except for two old, junky bucket seats. This led us to searching for seats. We just wanted some old orignal seats that could be spiffed up with new original style covers. The carpet and headliner will also be replaced with original style stuff.

This is the list of options on the inside of the glovebox. All these old trucks seem to have them in tact, and it's a neat piece to look at to imagine what the old girl looked like when she was new.
With the seats and a number of other things on our list to get it back on the road, we talked to a man about a parts truck. We ended up finding it buried deep in some backwoods in Oklahoma - just like all the great stories you hear about finding that jewel in the rough. It has a front bench seat and a rear bench seat we can use, but still no third row seat. We will continue the search for it. The door panels are in great shape, as well as the seatbelts, rear A/C unit, and a bunch of other trim pieces we'll pull off.

We were lucky a tree wasn't growing through the parts truck. Another few years, and there might have been.

The Owner's Manual and another book were still in the front seat. The rats had gotten a hold of the covers of both of them, but the inside pages still looked glossy and new.

Sorry about the headliner hanging down, but this is a good shot of the rear seat that'll be taken out soon and the rear A/C unit.
For now, that is as much of an update we can give on Project Burb. Remember to stay tuned on our social media for more updates, and contact us (here) with any questions and inquiries. We've got to get rid of the parts car soon, if you know what I mean!
